Your Role
As a Bookseller, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the high standards of our store. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing outstanding customer service and cultivating relationships with our customers.
- Sharing expert knowledge of books, authors, and the literary market to assist collectors and readers.
- Overseeing daily operations of the bookshop, including inventory management and merchandising.
- Supporting team members to help them thrive in their roles.
- Managing events, such as author signings and book launches, to enrich our customers' experiences.
- Collaborating with our team to drive sales and meet business goals.
What We’re Looking For
We are searching for a candidate who embodies the following qualities:
- Passionate and knowledgeable about books: A deep appreciation for literature, especially modern fiction, and an understanding of the book trade.
- Organized and proactive: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Communicative and personable: Strong interpersonal skills to engage with a wide range of customers, authors, and industry professionals.
- Tech-savvy: Competent with retail systems, online sales platforms, and social media.
