Book Condition & Notes
Near-fine first edition with some lean to spine, some fading to the top (sprayed) edge, and a previous owner's name to the first flyleaf. In a very good unclipped dust jacket with several short tears to the back cover and wear to the corners, and a large repaired tear to bottom of spine.

Eva Trout, Elizabeth Bowens last novel, epitomizes her bold exploration of the territory between the comedy of manners and cutting social commentary.
Orphaned at a young age, Eva has found a home of sorts in Worcestershire with her former schoolteacher, Iseult Arbles, and Iseult's husband, Eric.
