FAQs

What is Fresh Ink?

Fresh Ink is a new subscription book box celebrating the very best in upmarket and literary fiction. Each month, subscribers receive a beautifully produced signed and numbered first edition — complete with head and tail bands and a ribbon marker — a book that’s both a joy to read and a treasure to collect.

What kinds of books are included in the subscription?

This subscription is dedicated entirely to debut fiction. In this space, readers who enjoy a curated variety can share in the excitement of discovering bold new voices from the very beginning.

How long is the subscription?

Subscriptions run for 12 months. To give you flexibility, you can opt out of up to 4 boxes per year if you don’t wish to receive that month’s title.

When will I be charged and how often will I receive books?

Fresh Ink subscriptions will be charged on the 4th of every month.

Books are delivered monthly once signed by the author.

Can I skip a month or pause my subscription?

Yes, you can skip up to four months per twelve months. To skip a month, please email our team at: enquiries@goldsborobooks.com before the month begins.

What if I need to cancel my subscription?

You can request cancellation at any time by contacting our support team. Please note that our book subscription is a 12-month commitment, and cancelling early may affect your eligibility for future sign-ups. If you’ve already been billed for the month, you’ll still receive that month’s book. For early cancellations, please reach out to our team directly so we can review your request.

What’s on the Fresh Ink platform?

Fresh Ink members will enjoy:

  • Exclusive author interviews and essays
  • Curated recommendations
  • Insights into the collectability of each title
  • Early previews of upcoming books

Who curates the books?

Our team at Goldsboro Books — specialists in signed first editions for over 25 years — carefully selects every Fresh Ink title, focusing on upmarket and literary fiction that will stand the test of time, both as a read and as a collectable.

How many copies are printed?

Each Fresh Ink book is part of a strictly limited, numbered edition — making every copy a future collectable.

Will all the books be signed by the author?

Yes. Every Fresh Ink title is personally signed by the author (never a bookplate or digital signature).

What if my book arrives damaged?

If your book arrives damaged in transit, we’ll replace it wherever possible. Please contact our support team within 7 days of delivery.
