About the book

Join us for an intimate evening celebrating fantasy fiction with A. S. Webb and A. Y. Chao, two authors crafting richly imagined worlds and unforgettable stories.

Set in the cosy surroundings of our Cecil Court bookshop, this relaxed event will feature an in-conversation discussion between the two authors, exploring all things fantasy, from world-building and magic systems to characters, inspiration, and the joy of writing stories that transport readers beyond the page.

AS Webb and AY Chao will talk about their own forthcoming books, DAUGHTER OF FATE and PARIS CELESTIAL, their creative processes, and what draws them to fantasy as a genre, before opening the floor to audience questions. The evening will conclude with a book signing, giving attendees the chance to meet the authors and continue the conversation one-to-one.

Whether you’re a lifelong fantasy reader, an aspiring writer, or simply curious about how imaginary worlds are made, this is an evening designed to feel welcoming, thoughtful, and full of inspiration.
