Theodore Honey is a shy, inconspicous aircraft engineer whose eccentric interests in quantum mechanics and spiritualism are frowned upon in aviation circles. But when a passenger plane crashes in unexplained circumstances, Honey must convince his superiors that his unorthodox theories are correct before more lives are lost.

Nevil Shute

Nevil Shute Norway was a popular British novelist and a successful aeronautical engineer.

He used Nevil Shute as his pen name, and his full name in his engineering career, in order to protect his engineering career from any potential negative publicity in connection with his novels.

He lived in Australia for the ten years before his death.

  • Book Condition & Notes

    A near-fine first edition, in the original red cloth binding. There is some light foxing to the edge of the page block, and small amounts of the red colour have worn away at the bottom corners of the spine. In a good, price-clipped dust jacket. There are small chips missing to all four corners near the spine, as well as chips to the corners of the book. There are several small tears to the front flap fold.
