    All of our books that have a dust wrapper are covered in clear protective, removable film and are packed professionally in bubble wrap and a box for shipping so that they reach you in perfect condition.

  • Book Condition & Notes

    A near-fine first edition, in the original binding. There is a slight lean to the spine, and light foxing to the top of the page block. The bottom corner of the first flyleaf has a crease to it. A green shield sticker reading 'Boots Booklovers Library' has been attached to the front cover.

    In a very good unclipped dust jacket. There is some wear to the corners, and some chipping to the top of the spine. There is a small tear on the bottom of the fold between the spine and front cover.

About the Author

J. G. Ballard

J. G. Ballard was born in 1930 in Shanghai. After internment in a civilian prison camp, his family returned to England in 1946. His 1984 bestseller Empire of the Sun won the Guardian Fiction Prize and the James Tait Black Memorial Prize. His controversial novel Crash was made into a film by David Cronenberg. J.G. Ballard passed away in 2009.
