    Good first edition, in a good unclipped dust-jacket. Tears to the dust-jacket, particularly on the corners and edges. Marks and discolouration on the jacket. Foxing and yellowing to the pages. The hardcover has some signs of wear, particularly to the spine, and some fading and discolouration. This book is located in our Brighton store, and may take longer for delivery.

About the book

When a shipment of iridium is stolen the Saint hatches a scheme to recover the goods – but then one of his prime leads is murdered and he’s framed for the crime.

He escapes to Galveston in Texas in pursuit of a man who has been sabotaging weapons factories, only for him to turn up burnt to a crisp.

The Saint has to contend with the local police, a trio of mysterious men and a beautiful Russian in his attempt to get to the bottom of what is going on.

Leslie Charteris

Leslie Charteris, born Leslie Charles Bowyer-Yin, was a British-Chinese author of adventure fiction, as well as a screenwriter. He was best known for his many books chronicling the adventures of his hero Simon Templar, alias "The Saint".
