About the book

A Few Late Chrysanthemums contains a selection of poems written since the the appearance of Selected Poems in 1948. The poems, which are divided into groups - Medium, Light, and Gloom - have great variety of subject and mood, each of which is handled with Betjeman's deceptive simplicity, extreme technical skill, and heart-warming passion.
