About the book

Troy Phelen is one of the richest men in the United States. He is also looking for a way to die. Nate O'Riley is a high-octane Washington litigator who's lived too hard, too fast, for too long. Emerging from his fourth stay in rehab, he knows returning to the real world is always difficult, but this time it's going to be murder.

Rachel Lane is a young woman who chose to give her life to God, who walked away from the modern world and went to live and work with a primitive tribe in the deepest jungles of Brazil.

These three lives collide in a unique blend of legal suspense and adventure - and none of their lives will be the same after the revelation of the startling secrets of the Testament.

About the Author

John Grisham

John Grisham is an American novelist, attorney, politician, and activist, best known for his popular legal thrillers. His books have been translated into 42 languages and published worldwide.

His first novel, A Time to Kill, was published in June 1989, four years after he began writing it. His books have sold over 275 million copies worldwide. The book was adapted into a 1993 feature film of the same name, starring Tom Cruise, and a 2012 TV series which continues the story ten years after the events of the film and novel. Eight of this other novels have also been adapted into films: The Chamber, The Client, A Painted House, The Pelican Brief, The Rainmaker, The Runaway Jury, Skipping Christmas and A Time to Kill.
