About the book

Simon Armitage's "Waymarkings" is a collection of eight poems documenting his walks through the landscapes of the northern uplands and the south west peninsula.

Each poem is accompanied by a wood engraving by Hilary Paynter and additional prose by Armitage reflecting on the landscapes and his motivations for writing the poems.

The collection is a blend of poetry and prose, exploring the themes of landscape, travel, and the human experience of place.
